There's a surprising organism that, at first glance, might seem ordinary. And yet, it's an extraordinary being with fantastic capabilities! It's none other than... the blob! This slimy creature comes in all sorts of colors and lives in deciduous forests. Fond of moisture and freshness, it likes to hide in mosses and in the hollows of decaying branches and trunks.
But above all, the blob intrigues researchers for a very special reason. It is unicellular and has no nervous system, yet its behaviors are complex, even... "intelligent".
The team at the Montréal Science Centre invites you to come and discover the secrets of the blob and observe real blob specimens (yes, real ones!) under the microscope. You'll also be able to look at them with the naked eye in our Blobarium, and even try your hand at solving a maze, blob style.
